It's Senior Yearbook Portrait time, or time to start thinking about it anyway!  I have helped parents enjoy this process for about 10 years now.  I am experiencing this on a personal level as I have a senior at Rock Canyon and I will have one next school year too! Yes, back to back seniors!

I have had a lot of questions on the changes that have occurred at some of the Douglas County High Schools. I will help give you some insight to what I have experienced and have been told from those that have also experienced it.

Rock Canyon has decided several years ago to have Vision Photography do all the senior photos for the yearbook. They are now all consistent with skin color, size and quality. This is a good thing.  They are free.  Vision comes to the school on September 26 and October 3rd during their access period.  My son said they photographed him in front of a tree and they pick the best photo of him for the yearbook. Hopefully, they will touch it up as well.  It was easy. These photos are so small in the yearbook because their school is the size of a community college!  Where you want to focus on the seniors, is the SENIOR AD PAGE and portraits for your home. This is a nice tribute to your senior that can feature many portraits and a nice note to them.  I created a template in Photoshop for my senior so I could feature a bigger photo and better spacing for our note to him. I am going to GIVE THIS TEMPLATE to all my the seniors I photograph this year.  You then just upload the jpeg to JOSTENS for the yearbook when the school sends out the email. The deadline is Dec.6th.  Easy and unique!

You do not have to go to Vision studio for your free yearbook photo- just have it done at the school. Who has time for a shoot at Vision and time for a portraits session with the photographer that you want?

The best time for senior portraits this summer is 8:30 am before it gets blazing hot (which sounds really nice right now)  or 6 pm when the sun is low and it is cooler.  The sessions are M-F. It is better to plan ahead before their summer gets booked up!

We go to any location of your choice  ( I have a guide to help you)  I help consult on clothing- what photographs best and talk about what looks you are like or relate too.

My assistant, Shelly Hommel, and I help put you at ease so you are relaxed and having fun. Everyone deserves a great portrait and this is the senior's time to shine!

It takes about 1 1/2 hours. I always love having a parent there.  A week later you can bring your family to view and help you order your portraits. My mission is to listen to you and make sure you are happy and that we have done what you have expected and more!
